Prayer of Salvation

“I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.”

                                                               —Psalm 116:13

Admit Your Sin
Even if you do good things, you still have sinned. As the Bible says, "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) One of my favorite bible stories is when Jesus saves a prostitute from being stoned to death. Jesus says, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” All the men left and Jesus was the only one left standing. Jesus then told her, “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
(John 8:3-11)

Believe Jesus died for your Sin
To sin is to fall short of perfection. In order to get into God’s kingdom, you need to be without sin. Do you think it’s good deeds that take your sin away? If so, then how many good deeds will it take? Even though God wants you to do good, good deeds does not remove the sin in your life. The bridge to purity is found on the cross. Jesus is the only human who ever lived without sin. "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5:21) Because God could only accept a perfect, sinless sacrifice to purify you … He sent His Son to die for you and pay the eternal price. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16)

Commit to follow Jesus as Lord
With Christ as your standard of perfection, acknowledge Him as God and seek Him every day. Christ Jesus will take you and love you and transform you into an entirely new person if you let Him. The Bible says,
“If any one be in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things are passed away, behold, new things have come." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

If you agree, don't wait a moment longer to start
your new life in Jesus Christ.
Please Pray:

"Father, I know that I have sinned. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life and follow you. Please forgive me, and help me understand your amazing grace. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will."

So Now What?
If you've prayed this prayer of salvation, you are now a child of God. This is a fact, whether or not you feel any different. The Bible tells us that your eternal salvation is secure!
"That if you confess with your mouth that ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
